1. Booking and Timings:

What are the check-in and check-out times for cabins and campsites?	Check-in for cabins is from 2:00 PM, and for campsites, it is from Midday. Check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged depending on availability.
Is a deposit required when booking, and what is the cancellation policy?	Yes, a deposit is required to secure your booking. The deposit amount varies depending on the accommodation type. For details on cancellations, see our Policy page.
Do I need to book in advance?	While we accept walk-ins, we highly recommend booking in advance, especially during peak seasons, to ensure availability.
Are there quiet hours at the park?	Yes, quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. During this time, we ask guests to keep noise to a minimum to ensure a peaceful stay.
Do you offer group bookings?	Yes, we offer group bookings for families, events, or special occasions. Please contact us directly to discuss availability and group booking rates.
Do you offer any deals or packages?	We offer various seasonal deals and packages, including discounts for extended stays. Please check our website or contact reception for current promotions.

2. Family-Friendly Facilities:

Is there a playground or recreational area for children?	Yes, we have a safe and fun playground area for children to enjoy, complete with a climbing frame, slide, sliding pole, tunnel and plenty of space for playing games and riding bikes.
Are there any family-friendly activities or facilities available on-site?	In addition to the playground, we offer bike-friendly facilities, a camp kitchen, a BBQ area, and outdoor games. During peak seasons, we may organise family-friendly activities like pancake breakfasts and themed events.

3. Pet-Related Questions:

Are pets allowed everywhere in the park?	Pets are welcome at Valley View Caravan Park but must remain on a leash at all times. Pets are not allowed in cabins/pods or certain shared facilities.
Are there leash rules for dogs?	Yes, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times while in the park, except when in the designated off-leash areas.
Are there pet waste stations or bins?	Yes, we provide pet waste stations and bins throughout the park to help keep the area clean.
Are there designated pet-friendly accommodations or areas?	Pets are welcome in our designated pet-friendly campsites and certain outdoor areas. Please let us know in advance if you are travelling with pets so we can accommodate you accordingly.

4. Accommodation Questions:

What types of accommodations are available for families?	We offer a range of accommodations suitable for families, including family deluxe cabins, and powered or unpowered campsites. Some cabins come with multiple bedrooms and kitchen facilities, perfect for family stays.
Do cabins include kitchen facilities and private bathrooms?	Yes, all our cabins are equipped with kitchen facilities (including a stove, microwave, and fridge) and private bathrooms for your comfort and convenience.
Is bedding provided, or should we bring our own?	Bedding is provided for all cabins/pods queen beds. Single bed linen for bunk beds is not suppled but are available for hire. For campsites, guests will need to bring their own bedding, including sleeping bags, sheets, and pillows.
Are any cabins or pods wheelchair accessible?	No, we do not offer accessible cabins for guests with mobility challenges. These cabins/pods do not feature wider doorways and accessible bathrooms.
Are there TV connections at the campsites or in the cabins or pods?	Yes, all cabins and pods have TV connections with access to free-to-air channels, and some of our Campsites do, too.

5. Camping & Caravan Sites:

Are the powered sites suitable for large caravans?	Yes, our powered sites are spacious and designed to accommodate large caravans and RVs.
Is there a camp kitchen and BBQ area in the campsite area?	Yes, we have a well-equipped camp kitchen with BBQ facilities, picnic tables, and everything you need to prepare meals during your stay.
Can I have a campfire on my site?	Fires are allowed in designated fire pits most of the year, subject to fire safety regulations. Please check with reception for specific rules and availability.
Are there dump points for caravans?	Yes, we have a convenient dump point for waste disposal near the communal area.
Do campsites have access to fresh water?	Yes, each powered campsite has access to fresh water, with taps throughout the park. Unpowered campsites do not have taps.
Is there a sullage point for wastewater at each site?	No, some powered sites have a sullage point for wastewater disposal.
Are there separate taps for drinking water and cleaning water?	No, all taps throughout the park are suitable for drinking and cleaning water. Washing vehicles and caravans is not permitted.
Can unpowered sites access water?	Yes, unpowered sites have access to fresh water, but please be mindful of water conservation during your stay.

Is there a camp kitchen or BBQ area available for guest use?	Yes, we have a fully equipped camp kitchen with BBQ facilities, as well as indoor and outdoor seating for your convenience.
Is there a laundry onsite?	Yes, we have a laundry with washing machines, dryers, and ironing facilities for guest use. Washing baskets and pegs supplied.
Is there a place to store or wash bikes?	Yes, we offer a secure bike storage area and an automated bike wash station, complete with a maintenance station to keep your bikes in top condition.

7. E-bike Related Questions

What is an E-bike?	An electric bike (e-bike) is a bicycle fitted with an electric motor to assist with pedalling. A rechargeable battery powers it and helps you ride further and tackle hills more easily. The motor supports your pedalling – it doesn't replace it.
What type of e-bikes do you offer for hire?	We rent out Momentum LaFree E+ bikes. Momentum, backed by Giant Bicycles’ expertise, designs bikes that offer comfort, style, and practicality, perfect for anyone looking to easily explore.
Is it easy to ride an e-bike?	Absolutely! Our e-bikes are designed for recreational riders. With strong batteries and supportive pedalling, they make it easy to glide up hills and enjoy longer rides with less effort.
What level of physical fitness do I need to ride an e-bike?	Riders should be physically healthy and aware of their personal cycling limitations. Please note that Valley View Caravan Park is not responsible for any pre-existing medical conditions that could be impacted by physical activity.
What’s included with the e-bike hire?	Each e-bike hire has a helmet, a fluorescent safety vest, a basket, and a bike lock.
How long can I hire an e-bike for?	We offer two rental options: Full Day: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Half Day: 4-hour hire slots.
Can I ride the e-bike at night?	No, night riding is not permitted. Our bikes and provided equipment do not include lighting for nighttime cycling, so all rides must be completed during daylight hours.
What time do I need to return the e-bike?	All e-bikes must be returned to the office by 5:00 PM on the day of hire.
What happens if the bike has a mechanical issue or problem?	If you encounter any issues during your ride, please call our office immediately at 03 5729 8350 to speak with our manager about your options.

Is there free Wi-Fi?	Yes, free Wi-Fi is available upon request in designated park areas, including the main reception area.
Is there phone reception in the park?	Yes, phone reception is generally available throughout the park, but coverage may vary depending on your mobile carrier.
Is there medical help nearby in case of emergencies?	Yes, there are medical facilities and pharmacies in nearby Wangaratta, approximately 40 minutes away by car.
Are there any shops nearby?	Yes, the Whitfield and Cheshunt general stores are nearby and offer a selection of groceries, snacks, and basic supplies.
Do you provide camping essentials in case of emergencies?	Yes, we offer a first aid kit in the case of an emergency. We also have a Fully Automatic Defibrillator (AED) outside the office. Emergency items can also be purchased at the nearby Whitfield store.
Are there shops or restaurants nearby?	Yes, Whitfield offers a selection of cafes, restaurants, brewery and wineries for dining options, with more shops available in Wangaratta.
What local attractions are nearby?	Nearby attractions include the King Valley wineries, Powers Lookout, Lake William Hovell, Paradise Falls, King River, and various hiking and cycling trails in the surrounding countryside.
What local attractions or activities are recommended for families?	Families will love spending the day at Lake William Hovell, which is perfect for picnics, kayaking, and skipping stones. Kids can burn off energy at the Whitfield playground, which is just a short stroll from the park. Enjoy a leisurely family bike ride along the Prosecco road or set off on a fun adventure exploring local farm gates and produce stores. For parents wanting to relax, many family-friendly wineries in the King Valley offer spacious outdoor areas, lawn games, and kid-friendly menus—making it an enjoyable outing for all ages.
